Zara Black Dress, similar on major sale here and loving this one & more below // Suede over-the-knee Boots on sale, designer version here // J.Crew Bangle old similar here // J.Crew Pearl Earring old similar here and here
I wore this outfit to a work event a few weeks ago and I have had to stop myself from wearing it every chance since. I am not naturally drawn to black – navy is my preferred dark neutral – but I have been active about adding more of it to my wardrobe for work. It is definitely the color for pairing with tights, which has really brought me around to black dresses for winter. When I saw this long-sleeved number I knew it would be a great wardrobe staple. The dress is simple but the white color and swingy cut gives it a timeless, Parisian flair.
Paired with my favorite over-the-knee boots, this look is equal parts chic and practical. An on-trend suede boot keeps the outfit winter temperature friendly and easy to run around in. These boots are definitely my most worn item this season. I am very happy with these dupes of a designer version, they have stood up through ultimate test: months of New York City sidewalks. Unlike my black riding boots, these are incredibly light weight and have a thin profile that is flattering on every leg. If you haven’t hopped on the trend, now could be a great time to snag a pair on sale!
So while I am waiting for spring to break out my favorite dresses, I’m glad I have this swingy number to get me through.
